            writing assignments
        Policy:
          The purpose of writing practice is to improve your writing on
          your own, not to hand in 'perfect' assignments.
Thus, the following are prohibited. 
          * Use of ChatGPT and similar AI-based
            programs including apps for translation
            * Asking other people to write or proof-read your
            assignments
            * Copying someone else's work and quoting without indicating
            sources
             
          Format:
        
Please use the type-in manuscript paper genkoo-yooshi for the Japanese text (MS Word) at the following URL.

Please submit English version of each assignment using a separate MS Word document.
Style
Please use -desu/-masu formal style unless
        instructed otherwise.
        Later writing style will be introduced.

Rewriting
You have two weeks to rewrite the
        colour-coded draft upon receiving it from the instructor. 
      
        Late submission
Late submission might be allowed for special circumstances with the instructor’s discretion - illness, accident, death in the family, etc.
Late submission could be subject to penalty (5% reduction per day).
